Hello Monday! I hope all of you had a great weekend! I know I did. Today, I want to introduce you to Dog. It is actually because of Dog that you are reading The Blog as many of my friends have begged me to write a blog about Dog.
I “had hoped to be” changing the featured image to Dog with this post, but not only is The Blog a work in progress, apparently, technologically, I am as well. This is the mischievous one that has been my challenge these last 10 years which is actually putting it mildly.
This Dog is OCD (Obsessive Critter Disorder). He sounds like a herd of elephants when he is on a deer run. The deer have learned he cannot go beyond the fence resulting in the deer jumping the fence, stopping, to stare at him with a “Nanny nanny boo boo” look. This, of course, just tends to drive him even more insane turning him into a kangaroo at the fence! In addition, when he was on a critter run, all four feet will go out sideways and his tail starts spinning like a propeller. I have attempted numerous times to get one of his comical runs on video, but to no avail. You have to pretty much have an action camera attached to a selfie stick trailing behind him to catch this Dog in action. Gotta be quick! At this point, he hears nothing. NOTHING! Not even a whole grilled chicken dangling from a tree, smacking him on the head while on a critter run would get his attention. Unfortunately, for this very reason, I have never been able to take him outside the gate without his being on a leash, because if he caught a whiff of a critter scent, he was a goner! And Dog can smell a deer from inside the house and catch sight of a squirrel in a mile high tree!
You will come to know Dog very well. Trust me. He does keep Aunt Maxine and many others entertained!
